For the Love A Good Book

I LOVE to read. Always have, always will. We frequent the library every week and over the summer I did the adult summer reading program while my daughter did the children's one. There is nothing like a good book that makes you laugh, cry, philosophize. No surprise that I have degree concentration in English.

Some of my FAVORITES:
  • Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte
  • all of the Nicholas Sparks books
  • For One More Day AND Tuesdays with Morrie, by Mitch Albom
  • Charlotte's Web, by E. B. White
  • Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott
  • The Letters of Abelard and Heloise
  • Butterfly's Child, by Angela Davis-Gardner
.................. and sooooo many more!

As a child I would have killed for the library in the Disney Beauty and Beast film, or perhaps something like this:

I wouldn't want to go too over the top though so I would find this amazing too:

Although I would definitely see this being as more "do-able" in my house. A nice cozy reading spot. No one would find me with the doors closed.

Please share your favorite books below. I am always looking for something new to read.

Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop!

  1. I love that little reading nook (and have it pinned also!). I'm going to make one for myself when I have a place of my own.

  2. I used to dream about the Beauty and the Beast Library too, love those photos.

My fav is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

    Stopping by from Gussy :)

  3. That reading nook would be a vacation in my own home! WANT!
